Pickle Getaways (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates an online platform that helps pickleball players discover and connect with retreat hosts, resorts, private rental properties and third-party accommodation and booking providers.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose and protect personal information when you use the Pickle Getaways website and services.

Where consent is required for a particular collection, use or disclosure of personal information, we will request that consent separately.

Important: Pickle Getaways acts as a marketplace and listing platform.
For host-submitted listings, when you send an enquiry through Pickle Getaways, your contact details and enquiry information are shared with the relevant host so that the host can respond.
For affiliate listings, selecting a booking link may redirect you to a third-party property or booking provider. Information collected by that third party is handled under its own privacy policy. Pickle Getaways may receive referral, click or conversion information from the relevant affiliate or booking provider.
Hosts, properties and third-party booking providers are responsible for their own privacy practices.

Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:

your preferred dates, group size, skill level and other booking-related information;
listing details, descriptions, photographs, location, pricing and contact information submitted by hosts;

Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
browser type, device type, operating system and device identifiers;
IP address and approximate location;
pages viewed, searches performed, filters selected and links clicked;
referring website, visit duration and interaction information;
cookie identifiers and analytics information; and
affiliate-link and referral identifiers.
Information Received from Third Parties
We may receive information from affiliate networks, properties and third-party booking providers relating to referrals made through the Platform.

Depending on the relevant provider, this may include click information, referral identifiers, booking or conversion status, transaction value and commission information. We do not receive or store full payment-card details for bookings completed directly with hosts, properties or third-party booking providers.

We may collect information directly through website forms, listing submissions, enquiries, email communications, cookies and similar technologies.

Personal information may be held using website-hosting, email, analytics, cloud-storage and other technology service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold and restrict access to people who require it for legitimate business purposes.

To facilitate enquiries and communications between players and hosts
To analyse usage patterns and improve search results and recommendations

We do not sell personal information for monetary payment.
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.

With Hosts

When you send an enquiry about a host-submitted listing, we may share your name, email address, telephone number, requested dates, group information and message with the relevant host so that they can respond.

You should avoid including unnecessary sensitive or confidential information in an enquiry.

With Affiliate and Booking Providers

When you select an affiliate link, you may be redirected to a third-party property or booking website. That third party may collect information about your device, visit, referral and any booking you complete, in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Pickle Getaways may receive referral, click, conversion, transaction or commission information from affiliate networks and booking providers.

With Service Providers

We may use third-party providers to assist with website hosting, database management, email delivery, analytics, cloud storage, security, customer support and other business operations.

These providers may access personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide their services to us and are expected to handle it securely and confidentially.

For Legal Reasons

Host listing information is retained while the listing remains active and for a reasonable period after its removal.
Affiliate and transaction records may be retained for accounting, commission verification, fraud prevention and legal compliance.
Analytics and cookie information is retained according to the configured retention settings of the relevant provider.

When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it, unless it must be retained under applicable law.

Where you request account closure or deletion, we will process the request within a reasonable period, subject to any information we are legally permitted or required to retain.
